Gameplay

As Mario, your journey takes you across the enchanting Mushroom Kingdom. Your primary goal is to outwit and defeat the antagonist Bowser's minions to free Princess Toadstool. Successfully navigate each level, and touch the flagpole to claim your victory.

The Mushroom Kingdom is filled with opportunities for Mario to collect. Coins are abundant, and hitting question mark blocks is key to uncovering more riches or special power-ups. Other bricks might also hold hidden coins or rare items, so it's worth checking them all when possible. If Mario Mario eats a Super Mushroom , he becomes a Super Mario — When Mario consumes a Super Mushroom, he doubles in size and gains the power to smash bricks above him. If he's hit in this empowered state, he'll simply revert to his normal size instead of losing a life. If Mario eats a Fire Flower... , he becomes a Fire Mario FireMario —Upon getting a Fire Flower, Mario gains the power to launch bouncing fireballs. Find a rare bouncing Super Star to become Star Mario, a temporary form where he's immune to nearly all damage and can defeat foes just by touching them. Act fast to utilize this incredible power-up!
